Skate Station is the Perfect Venue for Field Trips

daycare field tripsDuring these months of summer, the kids are out of school and it is the responsibility of the summer camps to keep the kids entertained. Of course, the days will be filled with a variety of educational activities, but on occasion, these youth groups and daycare facilities want to give the kids a change of scenery with a field trip to somewhere exciting.

Field trips are an excellent opportunity to get the kids out of the classroom and give them the opportunity to let loose. The big question is, where do you take them? Well, we have your answer. There is hardly a better venue than Skate Station. We provide indoor, air conditioned entertainment for the kids, so you do not have to worry about sunscreen or the heat. Also, roller skating is cardiovascular exercise, meaning the kids are actively playing and burning off energy.

Our special rates for daycare and youth groups are budget-friendly, starting from only $4 per child. This price includes admission and regular skate rental. Then we have a myriad of add-on options, including snacks, drinks and even arcade tokens – something that is always a popular choice with the kids.

These field trips can be booked anytime Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. We do require that you make your reservations in advance. Call us at 481-7655 to set up your youth group field trip.

Fun Roller Skating Events at Skate Station

We are coming to the final few weeks of the 2013/2014 school year, and we know the kids are getting restless. One great way to help them burn off this excited energy is to bring them to Skate Station and let them roller skate the night away. We have public roller skating sessions everyday except Mondays, so bring them by as often as you would like. However, we do have two upcoming skating parties that you won’t want to miss.

Mountain Dew Mania

May roller skating partyOn Friday, May 23, 2014, we are hosting a Mountain Dew Mania party. The evening will be filled with different Mountain Dew-themed activities and games, including free Mountain Dew for everyone….until someone uses the bathroom. How long do you think you could hold off with a bladder full of Mountain Dew? Feel free to dress in the spirit of the evening by wearing lime green clothes and accessories, or, if you have a Mountain Dew shirt, that would be even better! The party is from 7 to 11 p.m. and admission is only $8.

Beat the Clock

Sumter SC roller skating events Three days later we are having a Memorial Day celebration on May 26th. Like we said earlier, we are not typically open on Mondays, but since the kids will be out of school, we are having a Beat the Clock skating party. Basically, the earlier you arrive, the cheaper your admission. It’s an afternoon skate from 3 to 7 p.m., and the prices are as follows:

  • Before 4 p.m. – $2
  • Before 5 p.m. – $4
  • After 5 p.m. – $6

Saturday Specials

In addition to these two extraordinary celebrations, we also host a special event on most Saturdays during our afternoon skate session. Join us on May 31, 2014 for a fun candy scramble. As you can imagine, this particular activity is always very popular with the kids. Participation in the scramble is included in your $6 admission. It usually takes place around 2:45 p.m., but we open at noon so feel free to come earlier.

If you have any questions about our events or anything in general, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Skate Station Offers Cashless System for Parents

roller skating gift cardNow that you have purchased one of our 99 Days of Summer unlimited skate passes, it’s time to pick up one of our rechargeable gift cards. These are the perfect companion for the summer pass as it enables you to send your kids  to Skate Station without any cash. You probably have some questions about how this system works, so allow us to answer them for you:

How much does one cost to start? There is a minimum initial balance of $10. Yet, you can refill it with any amount, from $1 to $1,000.

What can the gift card be used to purchase? Anything at Skate Station, from concessions to tokens for the arcade and even items from our pro shop.

What happens if the balance gets low and I am not there to refill it? If your child’s rechargeable gift card gets a low balance that prevents him/her from being able to make a purchase, we are happy to take your credit card information over the phone for your to add more funds.

What happens if my child loses the card? Each gift card has a unique serial number. In the event that one gets lost, we can immediately cancel that specific card and issue a new one.

It is part of our mission to provide a safe and convenient setting for you to send your kids this summer, and we hope that this cashless system helps us reach that goal. If you have any other questions about the rechargeable gift card, our unlimited skating pass or Skate Station in general, please do not hesitate to contact us.
